New Novel, ZEPHYR UNFOLDING, Premiering at Bubonicon 37
Gallup, New Mexico - Author Nicole Givens Kurtz is releasing her much-anticipated fourth novel, ZEPHYR UNFOLDING at Bubonicon 37 in Albuquerque, NM, August 27 - 29. ZEPHYR UNFOLDING is the sequel to her highly acclaimed novel,BROWNEE CANDIDATE.
The novel continues a year after Aurora, once Browne, escaped the Candidacy. Life amongst the Resistance hadn't brought peace--as Aurora, Bain, Ren, and Angel expected and the group is dismayed and disillusioned. However, a surprise attack and abduction changes everything and Ren's second-in-command rank is threatened. He's given a new assignment where he meets with the mayor of Zephyr and must convince him to join the Resistance. But, once Ren reaches the city things aren't what they seem and he's falsely charged with a crime he didn't commit. His crew must put their lives, morals, and vows on the line to save him.
This fourth novel is already receiving praise. Author Jeanne Allen, ORPHILION DREAMS, said it "...is a skillfully-plotted, roller-coaster ride of a story, packed with action and suspense, love and betrayal."
BROWN CANDIDATE, the preceding book in this series received national attention when named a finalist for the 2003 Electronically Published Internet Connection (EPIC) EPPIE Awards honoring electronically published books and the 2002 Dream Realm Awards for Best Science Fiction novel. Givens Kurtz's other novels--THE SOUL CAGES was raved as an "highly imaginative, gripping fantasy," by Janne Allen of Knowbetter and A COMPLETE WOMAN, her debut novel, captured romance and mainstream e-book audiences by storm as it reached Book-of-the-Month status within a few weeks of its release and praise from The Romance Readers Connection.
